Friday means BANGERS and this is what’s on my iPod right now.

French Cassius is always up for a good track and this is “I Love You So” released on the EP “The Rawkers” back in end-2010. Popskarr did a sweet little remix pumping up the bass and the speed.

This guy was unknown to me, but it sure sounds great. Kavinsky is the name and he’s a producer and DJ from France. Through the years he released 4 EP’s and this track, “Nightcall” is from the latest EP with the same name. MOONBEATZ remixed it and it’s so fresh en 80′s! There a heaps of other remixes out there..

Indie rockers Cold War Kids recently released their third album, “Mine Is Yours”. To celebrate and definitely to draw some attention they had Passion Pit remixing the first track of the album, simply called “Mine Is Yours” (oh the creativity nowadays).

Second last track this Friday is from Dutch AutoErotique and is definitely more in the electronic banger genre! “Bubonic” is to find on the EP by the same name (it’s a reoccurring theme today!) released almost a year ago on Dim Mark records. Pump up the volume!

Last track is my one true love, Chromeo. These Montreal-based mofo’s need no introduction from me. From their 2010 album “Business Casual” we find “Don’t Turn The Lights On”. The original track has a great feel and nu-disco sound but this remix by LA-based Vodka & Milk makes the track a sure floor-filler but still manage to keep the disco feel.

Dj Rockerdelic, an up coming Dj in the lovely night life of Copenhagen.
Has been spinning behind the decks for many years now, but just for the joy of her self and friends at small local places.
She is known for her old school hip hop, rare female rappers and her love for disco.

I’ve chosen to share some of the newer and some old tracks that I’m crazy about.

1. Coco Moon – There is a change (PANAMAH vocal remix)
They are an amazing Danish group playing experimental pop, i love the elegance and smoothness of the music and the singers voice, its just like eating the worlds best chocolate mousse!
I choose the remix made by Panamah, they made the song more up tempo and dance friendly.

2. Tensnake – Need your lovin
Tensnake is a producer from Hamburg and he is my new teenage crush. He just made the album “Coma cat” which is filled up whit banging new sounds of the 90′s.
He is a really big inspiration to me.

3. Chromeo – Hot mess
Its always a hit when i play Chromeo at party’s, they are to me the new modern 70′s Michael Jackson.
They have been one of my favourite groups for many years know, and I’m of cause crazy about the new hit “Hot mess!
I love the humour in the music and there new disco sounds. They can always put big a smile on my face and i can never sit still when its playing.

4. Cassius – Feeling for you
Its really hard for me to put words on what i think about Cassius, because they got a special place in my heart!
The album “1999″ from the same year, is an never dieing hit, and in my world properly the best album of all time.
I fill up the dance floor every time i play it. And i hear it every time before i go out!

5. New Order – Blue monday
This track randomly popped up on my Ipod last week and i cant remember last time i heard it, and now if been hearing it everyday since.
I love darkness of this track but still in a more disco dance friendly version.

6. Efterklang – Full moon (Turboweekend remix)
I love this track, the deep kind of 80′s feeling over it. And still its a really great track to dance to. The real versions is really great but Turboweekend just made it more my taste!

Today it’s the 2nd Sunday of advent.

After a weekend with a lot of nu-disco on my head I really fell in love with this track by Chromeo. It’s a re-work of their track “Hot Mess” from the Business Casual album. This time it features a lot more vocal by La Roux. It really adds something to the track with her sweet voice.

The track is impossible to obtain in a decent quality and without radio speakers in it but here’s a 160 kbps clean version.
It’s also impossible to buy in this side which I find strange!

Hvis man har overset Florence + The Machine det seneste stykke tid har man nok boet på en øde ø uden nogen form for kommunikation med omverdenen. De er blevet spillet overalt og er nok bedst kendt for “Dog Days Are Over” og deres coverversion af “You’ve Got The Love” (originalt indspillet af The Source feat. Candi Staton).

Florence Welch, som forsangerinden hedder, har været grundpillen i bandet og “The Machine” består af Robert Ackroyd, Christopher Lloyd Hayden, Isabella Summers og Tom Monger. Sammen har de lavet musik fra 2007, men først i juli i år udkom debutalbummet “Lungs” som helt klart er et lyt værd.

Man falder bestemt for Welch’s fortryllende stemme i en god blanding af indiepop og alternativ, blød rock med storladne momenter.

Nu har flere efterhånden haft haft i deres sange og her er et par af de bedste. Det er britiske The xx, The Lionheart, Jack Beats og skotske Optimo Espacio i et længere housemix!

Og så er der en lille update mht. Chromeo, jeg faldt over en groovy coverversion af Eagles “I Can’t Tell You Why”.

Hvis man ikke lige kender Chromeo kan man godt glæde sig!

De to herrer David Macklovitch og Patrick Gemayel slår deres folder i Montreal og kan snildt skrive Canadas mest succesrige electrofunk duo på deres CV. Stærkt inspireret af 80′ernes synth-pop og lækre rytmer skruer de helt op for guitarens funk-funktion. Siden 2002 har vi kunne svinge lårbassen til deres inspirerende rytmer fra tracks som “Fancy Footwork”, “Needy Girl”, “Tenderoni”, ” Bonafied Lovin’” og “Call Me Up”.

Deres nye single hedder “Night By Night” og der er ingen tvivl om at den kommer direkte fra hjertet af fede beats og svedig guitar, med en lækker tekst som kun Chromeo kan gøre det.

Jeg kan lige så godt sige det: Chromeo har lavet alt for mange fede tracks til at kunne retfærdiggøre dem her, men i får lige et lille udvalg af personlige favoritter og så naturligvis deres nyeste.
