Today is a very special day. Tonight we throw our first party at NASA and I hope that many of you will show up, dance and have a chat! We open at 00:00 so get there early.

But it’s also Friday and that means BANGERS!
And as you might have noticed I’ve grown fond of nu-disco and disco-house the past couple of weeks. So more of that today!

First track is one I just got my hands on. And I mean literately just – as in seconds ago. It’s a new track that is supposed to be featured on the upcoming Sound of Copenhagen (vol. 7 that is). The original is made by danish pop group The FireFlies but luckily grand old man Kjeld Tolstrup asked producer, DJ and remixer Bryonjolfur to remix this track. And something amazing came out! It’s a hard beating disco-house track that plays around with the vocals in the most delicious way. It’s only for streaming right now, but watch out for the next SoC album!

Second track is one I stumbled upon at a friends blog, WeAreSkitzo. It’s made by Toro Y Moi and remixed by one of my favorites, Xinobi who is signed with the awesome D.I.S.C.O.texas.

Next up is, to me, unknown Canadian Chilly Gonzales. His originals are quite funky (check youtube or somthin’) but this remix by Fare Soldi added a little beat and speed to the track making it more danceable according to the lyrics. “Dance motherfucker, dance”!

Remember “The Pyramid Dancer” by Peter Zohdy aka. Sorte Slyngel (The Phantom Blot). It was this disco track with people singing “la la lai” throughout the track. Huge! Well now he’s on it again. “Cleaning Up The Ghetto” is another pumping disco track for your Friday!

Last track is from fantastic DFA signed Holy Ghost! It’s called “I Will Come Back” and this will be one of your favorite tracks very soon! It might be a bit old, but still.. :<3: Anyway Classixx remixed it and I think it works quite well.

Okay, so the Roskilde Festival is getting closer and by now you should have equipped yourself with a waterproof tent, a camping chair, sleeping bag and a whole lotta beer!

Hejven will be reporting almost daily from the festival with pictures, events and other goodies! So keep an eye out for the blog to get you daily Roskilde update.

One of the big names this year is definitely Gorillaz. The cartoon band released their 3rd studio album this year after a five year musical drought. The “Stylo” music video featuring Bruce Willis became a hit at the start of 2010. Alex Metric did this super funky remix.

Australian Pendulum is a drum-and-bass band. They are playing it hard style, but if you can take it you should drop by when they play at Roskilde. I’ve found a Van She Tech remix of “Propane Nightmares” for consideration.

Miike Snow is one of my all time favorites. Recently the released a new single called “Billie Holiday” and LightsoverLA did a decent yet moody remix.

The Floor Is Made Of Lava is a Danish rock band with a great sound. This year the released a new album “Howl At The Moon”. Their last album, “All Juice, No Fruit”, got remixed big time and “IKEA Did A Job On You” is from that remix-album.

LCD Soundsystem is signed with DFA and that alone is a signal of great quality. They produce great dance-punk in that DFA-ish way. This Holy Ghost! remix found it’s way to my hear a long time ago.
