Okay, so we’ve been friggin’ inactive this summer and I’m terribly sorry for that. It’s just been so busy and yadda yadda!

Okaaaaay! So it’s been a slow summer on the blog with too little music a too many beers in the sun (or rather rain because it’s Denmark)..
But that has come to an end now! We are back on track with new music and much more.

The danish DJs, radio hosts and Hejven.se darlings Kjeld Tolstrup and Le Gammeltoft released their FIFTH compilation in the Sound of Copenhagen series a week ago (12th august).

We’ve already presented you to some of the music on the new CD, Hankat‘s “Be the First” (here).
But somehow we feel that you should get another tasty bite of this delicious release.

With a whole of seven debuting artists on the tracklist this is truly the upcoming and soon-to-be’s of the Danish nightlife.

A personal favorite is the Kasper Winding remix of long-haired french indie disco guru Sébastien Tellier’s “Elle”. Even though it’s a slow track it has a charm and a melody that Kasper preserves while he still adds his personal touch to it.

Another great track comes from Mew, the beloved band in most of Asia. Their track “Beach” got remixed by dark tech house/minimal alchemist Anders Trentemøller.

If any these names mean anything to you and you like what you hear I’ll endorse you all to do two things.
First off go buy the entire album, you’ll love it!

Second go by the Copenhagen Jazzhouse for the spectacular Release Party of Sound of Copenhagen #5 tomorrow the 20th of august at 23:30!

It will be a blast with lots of performances by the artists features on the compilation.

Back in February the talented duo Le Gammeltoft & Kjeld Tolstrup released their newest compilation in the “Sound of Copenhagen” series.
Alt last they are throwing a party for the release of the compilation Wednesday the 12th of may.

The night will offer you performances from some of the hottest names:

• Live DJ set, meaning DJ set accompanied by live music, by Hankat. He is also the first to be signed to the new Sound of Copenhagen record label.
• Baba Black aka. DJ T.O.M and DJ Buda (aka. Lulu Rouge) will also do a live DJ and have promised to spice it up!
• Fagget Fairys are working on new music and this might be a chance to get a sneak preview. But sure you know their “Feed the horse” but have you listened to “Roll The Dice”?
• One of Le and Kjeld’s favorite bands will be playing, but the name is a secret.
• Visuals by the superb Kristian Kragelund
