Copenhagen based Lou Van just released a new edit.
He did a disco based edit and it sure hits spot on the trends right now.

You might remember Lou from the “Kadufaa” track that is a remake of the Danish 70′s christmas calendar “Jullerup færgeby”.

Lou Van is a resident at Simons and plays at Svedhytten and Rust to name a few. So there is plenty of opportunity to catch one of his performances.

That’s the promise from the eventmakers at Adorena for the largely planned event this Saturday the 2nd.

The show will be divided into two different rooms with different kind of music – The Pepsi Max Music Room and the Heinekin Music Room.

The Nexus Crew is lined up at The Pepsi Max Music Room with Nik & Jay, Burhan G, Joey Moe etc. etc.

The Heinekin Music Room is the one really attracting my attention. Here we have artists like Lulu Rouge, Djuna Barnes, Lou Van and Chris Minus playing!

We’ve had the pleasant opportunity to interview one of the DJ’s playing at the Heinekin Music Room, Chris Minus!

First and foremost: What are your expectations for the Adorena – In The Aquarium event?
Well, I expect a great party with lots of different types of people. The guys behind the project really did a good job finding the best from both sides of the music scene. Hopefully we can see some rich “bitch” hook up with some scruffy looking hippie dude! Hahaha, now that would be fun!

You share stage with a few of the best and most hyped DJs right now. How does that feel?
It always feels good when the bookers find you compatable with some of the biggest DJs in our small country. Hopefully some time in the near future some young DJ will say the same about being on stage with me

What do you look most forward to that night? Any specific names?
I must be honest and say I will not be spending my time wathcing NIK & JAY… maybe only the sake of pu**y… hahaha, but as always I love to hear Kjeld Tolstrup play. He always plays some crazy shit I’ve never heard before. Besides that I’m just looking forward hanging out with the other Djs.

How and what do you plan you set for that night? How much is planned and how much can you improvise on the go?
Well as always I allways buys new tracks for every gig. Not to say that I will only play them. But I think I will do what I always do, WING IT!

Will your setlist include any of you own remixes?
Hell yeah! And a lot of new ones nobody has heard yet!

Så blev det endnu engang fredag og det betyder naturligvis Friday Bangers!

Lou Van bliver smidt ned som et bonustrack!

Vi starter derfor med et personligt yndlingstrack fra Sébastian Tellier. Franskmanden deltog i The Eurovision Song Contest aka. Melodi Grand Prix i 2008 med tracket “Divine”. Siden er det blevet pumpet hårdt som jern af landsmanden Danger. Vi taler distortion og melodiske toner med et snært af hård rockguitar i en herlig sommerblanding.

Jesse Perez har haft fingrene i den gamle Haddaway-klassiker “What Is Love” og dette er hans “Downtown” mix af sangen. Lad os bare sige: “sådan har De aldrig fået den før”.
Går vi videre i dagens tracks finder vi et vildt mix lavet af MSTRKRFT. Vi snakker om John Legend og Andre 3000′s “Green Light”.

Designer Drugs har bragt tracket “Back Up In This” og Le Castle Vania, Computer Club og Rrrump bringer os remixet!

Anglo Satellite fra The States har lavet tracket “Big Black Spider” som er remixet af Les Petits Pilous. Distortion siger jeg bare!!

I denne uge starter vi med lidt Lou Van. Det passer ikke, han kommer nemlig som bonustrack! Lou Van er en københavnsk DJ og bevæger sig i techno- electronic- eksperimental-genren. Her kan man roligt sige at han holder sig i det eksperimenterende hjørne. Det’ swing og det’ jazz! Han spiller også til Distortion.
