Here’s my pick-of-the-week meets mixed-salad presentation of Friday Guest Bangerrrrs! Got a little innit 4 all kindsa people, specially them like me, who enjoy to rocket from one tempo and style to the other.

DJ Sharon knows how to do that old school melody. Cant help but love it. Mexican 3balleros mostly dance around the WHOLE dancefloor. Lets make that a scandi ting too!!! loooook!!! :

Tambor they play in the coastal regions of Venezuela and other places (I guess). Like in USA, where LOL Boys take tambor music and turn it into mystical bass music. Heartwarming and lusty stuff if one has the right people to play for.

Its time for that northen american indian vibe to mix in. This one is topdogg Max Le Daron. And it seems obvious that we need to learn to match chanting and metal! hahaha!!! serious apache metal swag. uff!!!

I listen to a lot of new and old and I prefer to blend styles. Thats actually what I love doing! So here I have picked some of my favourites I love to mix into my sets these days. Global beats from around the world and especially from brasil and south america. That make sence to me coz of my work with percussion and djing.

1:
El Remolon: Zapatillas Galacticas
Talented producer from Buenos Aires. This tune is donwbeat but at the same time strong and hard-hitting. Good for builing up and a great blend of “cumbia” and eletronic.

Major Lazer: Hold The Line (Edu K Remix)
When working with urban world beats, it difficult not to mention Diplo. His project “Major Lazer” togehter with Switch is soon to put out a second album of more messed up dancehall and bass. This Edu K remix (from the first album) is on heavy rotation at home.

Makossa & Megablast: Soy Como Soy (feat. Cleydys Villalon)
This is from the EP of the same name. Hypnotic bassline and simple percussion on top. Its much more than just a great dj-tool, its eletronic afro-beat. Keep dancing.

Oh Snap!!: Bill Cosby Sweater (Kazey & Bulldog Remix)
This is a funky tune. Very old skool in attitude but fresh in production. Break beat and close to another passion of mine – baile funk. This leads us right to the finally one on the List.

Dj Edgar: Flamengo
From the EP “Baile Funk Masters #3″. Edgar is a fantastisc dj and producer from RIo De Janeiro. His plays all the styles of “funk carioca” – the forbidden, the remixes and the quality club tunes. This is not one of the dirty ones though, but goes out to all the supporters of the local and famouse soccer-team “Flamengo”. This mix always brings smiles from the brazilian crowd.

Peew, it’s been a busy week! And I’m sure the next weeks till Christmas will be busy as well! Sorry for the inactivity, we’ll try to do better for you guys, but having to study and work is making the time for research and posting limited.

We have more danish music this week starting off with the three man Copenhagen based band Turboweekend. They released their 2nd album entitled “Ghost of a Chance” but in the past they also released a 12″ vinyl called “Into You” with four tracks. This mix is done by reasonably unknown Ken Kay but it seems like this dane did a lot of club mixes.

Next up we have well known Jamaican Major Lazer with the track “Keep It Going Louder”. A lot of huys and girls remixes the Major and this is done by Dale Rico Maíra y Jos. It’s a nice party tune with the usual reggae feel.

Not too many days ago New York based Redlight sent us his newest remix! This time he threw himself at Kid Sister remixing her “Life On TV”.

Radioclit are Johan Hugo and Dj Tron. These guys are doing jungle electronica and they sent us “Saga Africa”.

The last track we have this Friday is from danish Copyfokking. The slow funky heavily fuck-cutted track they bring us is called “Rio Funk Fixing” and among others US Claude Von Stroke features on this track. Copyfokking themselves did a refix.

Weekend, weekend så kom du endelig! Det betyder nye sprøde tracks til din fest og mp3-afspiller!

Vi starter denne uges Bangers med lidt funk fra The Killers. De har selv lavet et remake af tracket “Joy Ride” i en übercool “Night Version”. Nummeret udkom sammen med “The World We Live In” på EP og som download og her tager The Killers os med på en fantastisk rejse af hoppende rytmer, deres lækre guitarspil, Brandon Flowers velkendte vokal og bedst af alt elektroniske toner der er til at danse til!

Vi finder hernæst Klingenberg og vi skifter derfor også genre til en solid omgang house. Tracket er remixet af tyske Dave Darell og man må sige at der er en seriøs basgang på spil!

Herefter finder vi en gammel kending der også spillede på årets Roskilde Festival, Major Lazer. Tracket “Pon De Floor” er en omgang dancehall med stærke reggae-inspirationer og har været forbi italienske hænder hos Frost Dj Sexx hos The Italian Remixers.

Næste stop er hos Boy 8-Bit. Her bevæger vi os ind i et univers af elektroniske lyde som den gæve englænder har sammensat med stor melodiøs bevisthed. Tracket “Baltic Pine” er komponeret så man næsten føler sig under vand eller måske endda i rummet.

Vi er ved at være ved vejs ende på vores “Joy Ride” denne fredag. Sidste track bringer tyske Tocadisco os. Igen bevæger vi os helt klart mod den mere housede genre, men med en anelse mere sprøde toner. Tyskeren har fået remix-hjælp af Popof fra nabolandet Frankrig og det er der kommet det forholdsvis klassiske track “Morumbi” ud af.
