So it’s been a while since we did a decent update other that the Friday Bangers. What’s new in town you ask? I’ll tell you son, hang tight.

The Sound of Copenhagen vol. 6 is on it’s way and on that we’ll find many a track worth listening to. A few of the tracks have already been featured on the site, but I’d like to pull a new one out the sleeve.
Shanghai is a danish duo that’s been around since 2008. It’s clear that they draw their inspiration from the 80′s. This first single “Smoke and Mirrors” has been featured on Danish Radio P3. There is a neat little music video out there. Remember to buy the track if you like it!

Another great danish artist is Oh Land. She were supposed to perform a koncert at Koncerthuset the 17th of March this year but it has been postponed to April 2012! This is a track from her upcoming album due to be released 15th of March and it has been remixed by Twin Shadow.

This next track has been a major hit and various remixes has come out of it by Jamie XX and Keljet among others. The latter was features in out x-mas calendar. However I fell over this neat and minimalistic-ish remix by our very own danish Michael JT whom you might know for his amazing edit of Ricardo Villalobos’ “Enfants”. Enjoy.

Danish one man army Eim Ick just released a 2 track EP via Taragana Pyjarama’ SoundCloud. It’s playful and definitely with a nice beat. This is the track “Pi”, a dreamy track with lots of samples and vocal cutting.

In a completely different genre we find a new remix by Abe&Ven. This is Niklas feat. Mukupa with the track “Ild på Nørrebro”. This is 4-to-the-floor techno. Play it loud!

It’s Friday again and this week we are back to normal. No fancy celebs picking the tracks it’s just us, your favorite blog and we bring you the best to get the weekend started!

Starting with a Danish indie rock duo, The Raveonettes. The duo consists of Sharin Foo and Sune Rose Wagner where the latter released a brilliant 2008 self-entitled album. As a duo they released their 4th studio album in 2009, In and Out of Control. The first single “Last Dance” has been remixed by New York-based kap10kurt.

If you digg tracks with kiddie voices you’re gonna love this next one. Ricardo Villalobos is a Chilean-German DJ and producer doing mostly minimal house. The track is simply called “Enfants” (french for kids) and was originally over 17 minutes long. It has been called “a great tool for DJ’s” and “remarkably catchy”. Danish Michael JT did a great remix and cut the track down to a little less than 12 and a half minute.

We Have Band is a Brit indie pop band famous for the single “Oh!”. Co-Pilot did a funky Flying High Edit of “Honeytrap”. The track is filled with breaking beats and is great dance floor material!

Another British band, Editors, is about to start their March 2010 UK Tour. From their latest album In This Light and On This Evening we find the single “Papillion” (again french – butterfly). It reached #1 on the Belgium chart (what gives). The Japanese Popstars who I know from their awesome remix of The Ting Thins’ “Be The One” (go see Friday Bangers (week 20 – 2009)) did a spectacular remix pumping up the bass and making the track a true banger!

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour brings us the last way-too-short track this Friday. With the depressing title “The Sun Ain’t Shining No More” and with help from German Thomas Gold they give us the most intense nearly three minute party with bits of soul, funk and electronic dance.
