I am DJ ER DU DUM ELLER HVAD, I hope I can make your Friday/weekend more lovely, the last two years have been crazy dj’ing nearly everywhere in Denmark and a bit in France and London too! Hope that you guys will enjoy the sound of my Friday:

1: Kuar (Olof Dreijer Remix) – Emmanuel Jal

First pick is i a crazy remix from Olof Dreijer, my brother who also dj´s sended me this track, and it blew me of! I have never heard of this guy before but this track sure make the dance floor bounce!

2: Silvia (Savage Skulls & Tony Senghore Remix) – Miike Snow

The second choice is a track I’m playing every weekend, its the best breakdown and the release is perfect, I really love this tune!

3: Canoa – DJ Gregory & Gregor Salto

I don’t know why, but at the time I’m really into the African sound, like the first track it just makes me happy! Lovely break and the girls are crazily sexy when they move to it! (It just makes the winter a little bit warmer!) Check out the beautiful break at 4:03!

4: Hang With Me (Pumped By Hot City) – Robyn

I’m not into only playing secret underground, I play for the people and this track is perfect for that, the build up is cool and strong, and there’s a lot of new style breaks that makes the remix by hot city a lovely dancefloor banger

5: Limit to Your Love – James Blake

last track is for sundays, i think i have heard this track 400 times the last week! the video is beautifully made by the best danish video director: Martin De thurah, chill and lots of bass! lol to everybody see you soon out there!

Okay, so the Roskilde Festival is getting closer and by now you should have equipped yourself with a waterproof tent, a camping chair, sleeping bag and a whole lotta beer!

Hejven will be reporting almost daily from the festival with pictures, events and other goodies! So keep an eye out for the blog to get you daily Roskilde update.

One of the big names this year is definitely Gorillaz. The cartoon band released their 3rd studio album this year after a five year musical drought. The “Stylo” music video featuring Bruce Willis became a hit at the start of 2010. Alex Metric did this super funky remix.

Australian Pendulum is a drum-and-bass band. They are playing it hard style, but if you can take it you should drop by when they play at Roskilde. I’ve found a Van She Tech remix of “Propane Nightmares” for consideration.

Miike Snow is one of my all time favorites. Recently the released a new single called “Billie Holiday” and LightsoverLA did a decent yet moody remix.

The Floor Is Made Of Lava is a Danish rock band with a great sound. This year the released a new album “Howl At The Moon”. Their last album, “All Juice, No Fruit”, got remixed big time and “IKEA Did A Job On You” is from that remix-album.

LCD Soundsystem is signed with DFA and that alone is a signal of great quality. They produce great dance-punk in that DFA-ish way. This Holy Ghost! remix found it’s way to my hear a long time ago.

Ahhh it’s Friday with all it’s blessings and have-too’s.

Yet again it’s a Friday with no fancy DJs choosing the tracks, just your beloved Hejven.se staff doing the hard work.

Danish Selvmord (Suicide) is a hip hop group featuring L.O.C. and Suspekt. Their first single “Råbe Under Vand” (Shouting Under Water) was a major hit on the danish radio and now Rune RK did a great bootleg making the track more fitted for the clubs.

Birk Storm is another Dane and recently he had his track “I even got my own feet” run through Bandbase.dk’s remix contest and YY King did a great danceable mix!

By now everybody should know Erik Hassle from his Gavin DeGraw-vocal and his weird hair. His single “Hurtful” is pretty big and Penguin Prison remixed it bringing out the funkiest tune I’ve heard in a long time!

After two laid back track we need something to get the party started and California based Oh Shit might just do that. “Romance” gives us 5 minutes of steady hard beating with lots of distortion and offensive lyrics remixed by Tonic.

Our good friend Redlight shared this remix of Ke$ha‘s latest single “Blah Blah Blah” with us some time ago. It’s speedy and noisy and I’m sure it will bring people to the floor!

The last track we have today is a bit of a bonus. Swedish Miike Snow released a new track called “Billie Holiday” and since I’m a huge Snow fan I wanted to share this track with you!

Ikke alle tracks skal remixes – her er et godt eksempel!

Nogen har måske opdaget at vi her op bloggen nærer dyb kærlighed til svenske Miike Snow. Deres succes er kommet noget bag på de tre herrer. Den første single de udgav hed “Animal” og tracket nåede ikke længere end en 98. plads på den engelske single hitliste. Tingene begyndte for alvor at gå stærkt da tracket “A Horse Is Not a Home” blev valgt til ugens single på den engelske iTunes-portal.

Miike Snow er signeret på amerikanske Downtown Records der også huser blandt mange andre, Crookers, Justice, Kid Sister, Major Lazer, MSTRKRFT og Santigold.

Deres album, der simpelthen bare hedder Miike Snow, kan købes her, her og her.

DJ Mehdi er fransk og er signeret på et af de andre store labels, Ed Banger Records. Han har haft fingrene i Miike Snow’s “Burial” og det er noget så sprødt.
