We asked Le Gammeltoft to choose five track that she likes and have been listening to the past few weeks.

Le is among other things a radio host on the weekly Friday night show “Unga Bunga” with Kjeld Tolstrup and “Smag på P3” with Nicholas Kawamura.
Besides being a radio host Le is also a DJ with weekly gigs on some of the major clubs in Copenhagen and she co-compiles the “Sound of Copenhagen”-albums.

Samantha Fu – “Theme from Discoteque (Mixhell Edit)”
“When I was due to play after Mike Sheridan at KB18 I played this track as the first one.. The vocal goes “Do you know where your teenager is at five o’clock in the morning?” … You’re allowed to tease a bit, aren’t you?! It’s one of my favorite tracks at the time!”

Dave Floyd & Pookie – “Pure Pleasure”
“This track works super sweet for the late night hours. Especially when mixed with a track that is a bit warmer. And it’s quite fresh that one of them is named Pookie…”

Spleen United – “Suburbia (Juan MacLean Remix)”
“It’s no surprise that I’m a huge fan of Spleen United. No other band in Denmark has the sound these guys have. Their music is up-tempo – but it still has great depth. What we have here is a whole new remix by Juan Maclean from New York – and the record label DFA Records (which I’m by the way also is a huge fan of.) It doesn’t sound that much like Spleen anymore, but the track is awesome!”

Hess Is More – “Ssshhhh (Zombie Disco Squad Remix)”
“Again a remix that lies far from the original sound. We use the original track as the theme for the radio program Unga Bunga and we were curious to listen to the remix. Zombie Disco Squad from London has a great sound and they’ve been able to create a track that is very multifaceted. You can find bits and pieces of most genres in the track…”

Massive Attack – “Paradise Circus”
“I’ve been listening to “Paradise Circus” ever since my good friend Lewis posted it on his Facebook page. It’s a track from Massive Attacks coming (and long awaited) album. The albums name is “Heligoland” and will be released February the 8. Can’t wait! On this track Hope Sandoval features.”

“A raw and organic tune which I find incredibly attractive.”

Fake Blood – “Fix Your Accent”
“After the release of Mars I was afraid that Fake Blood was just another bass-hungering group from United Kingdom. This track however shows what else they are capable of.”

Douster – King of Africa
“Representing Africa! This is the new sound that I’m diggin’, it’s playful and not that serious and I’m looking forward to much more tracks from Douster.”

Franz Ferdinand – No You Girls (The Rouge Elements Remix)
“The Rouge Elements Remix = Rave”
