Today’s a very special day. Not only is it Friday but it’s also the day that Hejven.se announced it’s first Blog Party ever!
Along with the fantastic danish duo Traplite we’ve started a new concept. The first Friday of (hopefully) every month we are going to have a Blog Party at Club A Porta.

Anyway it’s also time for Friday Bangers and our good friends at Traplite sent us an awesome remix. It’s a bootleg and it goes by the name Deadmau5 – Technology (Traplite Hejven Boot)! This is HUGE.

Second track this friday is a track from Magnetic Man and it features Katy B. It’s from Magnetic Man’s self-entitled debut album that was released a little week ago. “Perfect Stranger” has been remixed by dubstep hero Benga.

Dennis Ferrer guested Simons a few weeks back and it was a blast! This is Riva Starr’s take on his mega hit “Hey Hey”. However check this out: Donna Summer – I Feel Love. Resemblance? I think so!

For this next track we’ll be doing a bit of a genre-jump. This is new age disco and Bit Funk delivers the goods! “9 Iron” is the track name a somewhat odd hint towards golfing?

Last track is remixed by only 15-year old Lenno from Finland. It’s a track from Aestetik and it’s pretty groovy!

The first post in this new decade might be somewhat unorthodox. Friday Bangers on a Tuesday? Is this madness possible?

Yes, I tell you! It’s been a while since our last post so we don’t give a damn!

As assistant booker and promoter-extraordinaire for Rust Sven Houlberg knows what’s going on with the music scene. We asked him to throw a few songs at us that he have been listening to the past couple of weeks, and the reason why he kept listening to these tracks.

Crookers feat. Soulwax & Mixhell – “We Love Animals”

Man skulle ikke tro det, men det er faktisk allerede blevet fredag igen! Og ja, det betyder endnu flere tracks til festen, iPod’en eller bare til et lille glas rødvin efterfulgt af raveparty i en forladt lagerbygning?

Vi er ikke bange for at sige at denne uges Friday Bangers igen byder på lækre tracks og dejlige toner.

Vi starter stærkt med Daft Punk. Den franske houseduo bringer os her et track der ligger lige i deres ånd. Hård bas og deres velkendte elektroniske lyde. Her er de blevet remixet af fransk/canadiske The Wrøng Man.

Næste nummer er et dejligt samarbejde på tværs af landegrænser. Her er tyske Moulinex gået sammen med Xinobi fra Portugal om at lave et tema til det kollektiv og pladeselskab, D.I.S.C.O Texas, de begge er medlemmer af. Tracket hedder slet og ret “D.I.S.C.O Texas Theme” og er remixet af tyske Esto!. Der har været gang i en ordentlig omgang cut/slice, men hvis man lige giver tracket en chance udvikler det sig ganske positivt!

Nu begiver vi os tilbage til Frankrig og til Pony Pony Run Run der med deres “Hey You” har sat præg på den popelektroniske scene. Endnu en franskmand, Kolt13, har lige været omkring tracket og sat lidt mere fut i sagerne.

Bliver vi ved den powerpoppen finder vi australske Empire of the Sun der om nogen har genopfundet glamrocken. “Stading On The Shore” har været en tur igennem Cassian‘s computer og det er der kommet et fint track ud af der klart befinder sig inden for elektropoppens rammer.

Sidst men bestemt ikke mindst finder vi Gossip med den farverige og volumeniøse Beth Ditto i front. “Love Long Distance” har været spillet en del i radioen, men helt sikkert ikke denne version. Riva Starr har i høj grad fucked med vokalen og bruger den ofte mere som instrument – enten kan man li’ det ellers så hader man det!
