We’ll be starting with a remix by good ol’ LA-based LAZRtag. They had the opportunity to remix a track from The XX. You might remember The XX from their remix of “You’ve Got The Love” by Florence + the Machine.

The British synth/electronica dou Ou Est Le Swimming Pool is ready with their first album release after the tragic suicide of front man Charles Haddon. This is the second single from the album “These New Knights” in a remix by always awesome Disco of Doom.

Lights, a cute Canadian indie chick (only a year older than me, yay! :<3:) released her first album back in 2009. On the album you find a sweet little track called "February Air" and Haydn Hoffman made this a little more suitable for the dance floor.

As assistant booker and promoter-extraordinaire for Rust Sven Houlberg knows what’s going on with the music scene. We asked him to throw a few songs at us that he have been listening to the past couple of weeks, and the reason why he kept listening to these tracks.

Starting this weeks bangers with a heavy track with lot of distortion and spacy sounds! Leeds based Filthy Rich brings us the track “Make You Freq” and Miles Dyson did a great job remixing the track.

While talking of heavy tracks I’d like to bring you a neat remix done by Danish SuperTroels lead singer of the electro rock band VETO. The original track can be found on The Glass’ “Couples Therapy” EP which you can buy here. The remix is from “Remixes and Rarities“.

The XX brought Florence + the Machine‘s “You’ve Got the Love” to the clubs all around and it seems like they are about to do it again. “Shelter” was released on The XX’s debut album entitled “xx” but not long ago Death To The Throne ( ) remixed it and what a track!!

Da Lukas aka. DKS did a redub of his own “Babarabatiri” and it’s funky, gypsy and very well if you need to move your body to a sweet rhythm!

Last but not at all least we have a Mayer Hawthorne track. The LA based singer is quite a multi talent! He sings, raps, produce, DJ and plays an impressing amount of instruments. “Green Eyes Love” was released with his album “A Strange Arrangement” September 8, 2009. Classixx remixed this sweet little tune.

Florence Welch, som forsangerinden hedder, har været grundpillen i bandet og “The Machine” består af Robert Ackroyd, Christopher Lloyd Hayden, Isabella Summers og Tom Monger. Sammen har de lavet musik fra 2007, men først i juli i år udkom debutalbummet “Lungs” som helt klart er et lyt værd.

Man falder bestemt for Welch’s fortryllende stemme i en god blanding af indiepop og alternativ, blød rock med storladne momenter.

Nu har flere efterhånden haft haft i deres sange og her er et par af de bedste. Det er britiske The xx, The Lionheart, Jack Beats og skotske Optimo Espacio i et længere housemix!

Og så er der en lille update mht. Chromeo, jeg faldt over en groovy coverversion af Eagles “I Can’t Tell You Why”.
