We’ll start this weeks Friday Bangers with British Muse. From their 2006 album “Black Holes and Revelations” the guys from Muse bring us “Supermassive Black Hole” which peaked at an impressive #6 on the US billboard back in the days. Emre B, a San Diego based DJ and remixer did a decent remix of this one with loads of distortion and hard beats.

Tocadisco is Spanish for turntable. Not a bad name for DJ and producer Roman Boër although he is from Germany. This track was released almost a year ago, but it’s still a killer. Steve Angello remixed this one.

Danish old school band Laban released their biggest hit “Hvor Skal Vi Sove I Nat?” (Where Should We Sleep Tonight?) in 1982. The track is always a major hit a college parties because of it’s ’80′s kitsch disco feel. Babylon & Big Horn did a hard tech remix of this track with almost no vocal.

DSL is signed at the wonderful Ed Banger Records to whom Justice, DJ Mehdi, SebastiAn and Mr. Ozio is also signed. French DatA aka David Guillon did a great uptempo danceable remix.

Swedish Girls With Moustaches sent us an e-mail a few months ago with their new track “Moonchild”. I wouldn’t categorize it as a Banger but it’s a decent track that has potential and a light disco touch. So here goes.

Starting out with the always neat and often posted Fever Ray and her dark and special sound. Rex The Dog remixed the track “Triangle Walks” but kept the sound of Karin Dreijer with a twist!

Next up we have a mashup. To the background music of Justice, Wale and Lady Gaga are rapping their way through the track.

Canadian MSTRKRFT is always up for a good party. Their track “Fist of God” is just booming with energy.

The same goes for Swedish Hugg & Pepp. With their house sound and the touch of Tocadisco the track “Sweet Rosie” is bound to be a banger!

Grum spits out disco-tech ready for the dance floor! And it doesn’t get much better when the track swooped by German FutureFlashs for additional disco rhythms!

Vi starter denne uges Bangers med lidt funk fra The Killers. De har selv lavet et remake af tracket “Joy Ride” i en übercool “Night Version”. Nummeret udkom sammen med “The World We Live In” på EP og som download og her tager The Killers os med på en fantastisk rejse af hoppende rytmer, deres lækre guitarspil, Brandon Flowers velkendte vokal og bedst af alt elektroniske toner der er til at danse til!

Vi finder hernæst Klingenberg og vi skifter derfor også genre til en solid omgang house. Tracket er remixet af tyske Dave Darell og man må sige at der er en seriøs basgang på spil!

Herefter finder vi en gammel kending der også spillede på årets Roskilde Festival, Major Lazer. Tracket “Pon De Floor” er en omgang dancehall med stærke reggae-inspirationer og har været forbi italienske hænder hos Frost Dj Sexx hos The Italian Remixers.

Næste stop er hos Boy 8-Bit. Her bevæger vi os ind i et univers af elektroniske lyde som den gæve englænder har sammensat med stor melodiøs bevisthed. Tracket “Baltic Pine” er komponeret så man næsten føler sig under vand eller måske endda i rummet.

Vi er ved at være ved vejs ende på vores “Joy Ride” denne fredag. Sidste track bringer tyske Tocadisco os. Igen bevæger vi os helt klart mod den mere housede genre, men med en anelse mere sprøde toner. Tyskeren har fået remix-hjælp af Popof fra nabolandet Frankrig og det er der kommet det forholdsvis klassiske track “Morumbi” ud af.
